Thanks for Beefing Up My Knowledge Printable

It is that time of year again!  School is wrapping up, things are crazy, and… oh wait!  Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week!  Tell me all of you aren't totally prepared for this with gifts already ready and waiting by the door! No? Each year you have to think of something new and creative to bring the people sewing seeds of knowledge into your children.  So what will it be?

This year, we will make it easy!  We have made you two printables to use to make a quick, easy and super useful gift for your children's teacher.  With summer fast approaching we thought that a cup filled with single serve drink packets would be the perfect useful and affordable gift to put together for your kid's teacher!  I have included 2 printables, one for an open cup and one for a straw cup.

All you need to do to put this together is purchase your cup and drink mix, print out your printable and grab a pair of scissors and some ribbon.  I went to Wal-mart for my cups and the open top was $2.97 and the straw cup was $4.97.  With the Crystal Light coming in around $2.50 the total for this teacher appreciation gift comes in at a very affordable $5-$7.  You can go all out and spruce it up more by adding a gift card, or better yet add a special touch by having your child hand write a note to the teacher.

For the open cup you will use the Large Teacher Gift Printable.  Once printed you simply cut right under the image about 1/3 of the length of the sheet on each side as shown in the picture.  This allows you to roll up the bottom and insert it into the cup so you have a perfect sign on top.  Depending on the size of your cup you might need to trim down the bottom for it to be the perfect height.  I trimmed about 1/2 an inch.  Insert the drink mix and tie a cute bow, ribbon, or in my case baker's twine around the top and you are done!  So easy!

To make the gift with a cup that has a lid, just stuff the cup first with the drink mix, then use the small teacher gift printable to tie in the ribbon around the top of the cup.  Again, a handwritten note in the mug along with the drink mix would be the perfect personal touch to the gift along with a great lesson for your kiddo in learning to express gratitude to those who invest in them!
